Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, said on Thursday that authorities in Serbia have information that “Albanian silent and secret “are making efforts to take Kosovo's north”, REL reports.
Speaking at an event in the town of Pozharevci, Vuciq said Kosovo's Interior Minister has declared that Kosovo police fully control Ujman Lake in northern Kosovo.
Vuciq said such a thing represents violations of the Brussels Agreement.
“ ... because, with the Brussels Agreement, police in the north should meet the North Directorate, or Serbs should be there”, Vuciq said.
Kosovo Interior Minister Xhelal Svecla said in a Facebook post Thursday that Kosovo's “police began today with the regular patrol of the border line between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia, as well as the entire area of Lake Weyman”.
Svechla said this happens for the first time since the post-war.
In northern Kosovo, where the majority is Serb, even parallel organs of Serbia operate.
Vuciq said Brussels does not respond to calls to influence Pristina's actions and warned EU and Kosovo officials that Serbia “will no longer allow this”.
The “warns both sides to stop doing so, as the Serbian people will no longer tolerate violence or disrespect of international judicial standards. This is my warning to those who will come to Belgrade tomorrow and to everyone else”, Vuciq said.
As previously announced, EU envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Miroslav Lajcak will stay in Kosovo and Serbia on Friday.
