“If Erdogan is ready, I too am ready to become kamikaze, to blow myself up among Greek soldiers”, the mayor said, prompting reactions from Turkish citizens as well.
The Turkish mayor called on Erdogan to give Greece 24 hours to leave the islands. If they do not withdraw, let them wear their military uniforms”, he said, placing Athens as “the first target of the military”. He who doesn't follow is a coward!” he tweeted.
Earlier he accused the Greeks of occupying Turkish islands. In fact, he called on President Erdogan not to procrastinate with his threat that “can suddenly come one night”, demanding that he waste no time but attack.
