Svechla: 11-year-old has been violated for more than a year, institutions failed one after one

Svecla has said at the conference held Monday that he has asked Kosovo Police Inspectorate chief that all police officials involved in this case be summoned to the quality of the witness to understand what happened.

He has said responsible institutions have failed to protect the victim, while convinced that all failures will be identified and responsible will be penalised.

The first settings or information are that this minor has been violated for over a year. I have applied to the head of the Kosovo Police Inspectorate directly so that all involved in this case will be called to the quality of the witness so that Kosovo institutions and the public will be informed right about what happened, what institutions have undertaken and are taking up, and as soon as possible with the findings of this extremely serious case”, Svecla said.

The “in this case are included both the Prosecution, whether the Centres for Social Work, whether the Police, but also the Kosovo Agency for Forenzice. All information thus far tells us about the successive failures of institutions responsible for first defending this minor and then identifying him as what happened, but also about identifying the perpetrators who have unfortunately not been arrested all”, he said.
