In the midst of a Luchtenstein Landtag debate Thursday afternoon, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake felt, just as MPs discussed whether the small European nation should mandate security in case of earthquakes.
The video published by Landtag shows how two swings felt in the building in just seconds.
The first quake occurred while FBP lawmaker Bettina Petzold-Mähr was speaking. The second, larger one, shook the parliament building more violently, causing Landtag President Albert Frick to temporarily stop the session and evacuate the room.
Liechtenstein police said they have received a large number of calls from citizens concerned after earthquakes, which were with a magnitude of 2.4 and 3.9.
“So far no personal injuries or material damage”, they added in a statement.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the biggest tremor occurred at 13:57, with an epidex located about 19 kilometers south of the Austrian city of Dornby.
