This friendly one with Europe's current champions is the first in the history of Albanian football to be played in Tirana, and the second in all balance with Italian neighbours, following the friendly one played on November 18th 2014 in Genoa, where Italy triumphed 1-0 with Okaka's goal.
November month enables technical staff to develop friendly according to the FIFA calendar, until the start of the World Cup “catar 2022”. The Albanian Football Federation is working to formalise another friendly on November 19th.
The Reds will, meanwhile, hold a friendly match with Saudi Arabia on 26 October 2022. The agreement reached by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation envisions this match being held in the city of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
