In this old photograph is Bedri Djiaj and his family. Bedriu was from Mitrovica. He was a highly cultured teacher and patriot. It also wrote poetry.
In January 1945, he is arrested by the OZNA and brutally tortured to death in Pristina prison. With the Communist body, he lost his literary notebooks.
One poem with four verses survived: Your eyes would run out if I stopped your freedom with dirt. Damn my blood if they kill without a fight. Decades later this poem turned the hero of U n Agim Ramadani's CK, whose fall in Kostunica was the complete incarnation of her message.
23 years later, an KSF recruit is forced to leave because on his arm he had tattooed his poem verses. Understandably, the army has strict rules, but in certain cases the rules do not affect the ethics of certain symbols that give meaning to its very existence and purpose.
