Kosovo Government Prime Minister Albin Kurti, at a media conference, has talked about the teaching strike that SBASK has organised at the helm with Beftman Jasharan.
Kurti has hit the head of the SBASK, Nundman Jasharaj, saying he can't meet with her, since it's a rule to meet with the head of BSKPK, Atde Hycol.
The head of the government has also said that union branch leaders in the past had established direct ties with politicians, president, prime ministers and ministers.
Asked whether he would sit with unionists, Kurti has said he met several times with BSPK's Athde Hycol, until he said absurd and irrational demands do not pass.
We're with the teachers. The teachers should be with the students. We have fought a lot for school to boycott with strikes. He's got to start teaching an hour ago. I urge all teachers Monday to be in class. We're with teachers and teachers and students. I've met several times the head of BSPK, Mr. Attah and Hycol. While my ministers have met BSPK union branches. If we want a state, there's orderliness. I don't want to cross the BSPK leader and meet the leaders of the union branch, because that's not how it works.
It has happened in the past, when union branch leaders have established direct links with politicians, president and ministers and have broken order. I'm social-democratic and union organisation is for workers' rights. But absurd irrational demands, which are more arbitrary desires, cannot move forward.
In accordance with the state budget we will take our steps”, Kurti said.
