After a meeting Sunday, the mayors of the Communist Trade Union of Pre-university Education and Universities decided that the strike would continue for an unusual time.
The unanimous stay of the participants in this meeting was that until the government sits down in dialogue with the BSPK's Grevist Council and fails to meet the strike's legitimate demands, the strike will continue.
Meanwhile, the Kosovo government says the bill envisioning salary increases for educators will come up in approval soon, and requires opening schools.
The Parents' Council has also reacted to the strike.
They say that because of the situation created, many students have begun to be deported from public schools.
“This recurring situation for the same time, at the worst moment of education in Kosovo, is completely unacceptable and unreasonable, which is also being witnessed by daily census of students from public schools”, it is said in their announcement.
Otherwise, the SBASK strike started on 25 August, leaving out schools nearly 300,000 students.
Their demands are the payment of 100 euros per month until the adoption of the law on wages and their participation in social dialogue.
