Krasniqi in M.V, meets with state leaders, praises the crucial role of Albanian political factor in political processes

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Vlora Citaku, Parliamentary Group Chairman Abelard Tahiri, Secretary General Bajrush Xhemali and Foreign Relations Secretary Bernard Nikaj, has paid an official visit to northern Macedonia today, where he has been hosted by neighbouring state leaders.
During this official visit, Chairman Krasniqi has held a meeting with North Macedonia's chief parliament, Talat Xhaferi.
They have discussed the possibilities of co-operation between the Kosovo Assembly and the Northern Macedonia Assembly, as well as the co-ordination of regional and integration policies towards the EU.
“Basca discussed the possibilities for co-operation between our two countries and co-ordination of regional and integration policies towards the EU. Northern Macedonia in general, and Albanians in particular, are fortunate that as leaders of the highest legislative institution, Talat Xhaferin”, Krasniqi stressed.
After meeting with Xhaferi, leader of The PDK has met with Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, who has congratulated the 31st anniversary of Independence and thanked him for the continued assistance North Macedonia has given to the Republic of Kosovo.
“During the meeting I reiterated that opening negotiations for northern Macedonia is good news for Kosovo as well, in the hope that the restored trust between the EU and our region will advance as quickly as possible with visa liberalisation for our citizens right this, denied for years. Prime Minister Kovacevski also informed me of the steps North Macedonia has taken to cope with the global economic crisis, which in Kosovo is manifesting with record inflation, energy price increases and the worsening lives of our citizens. Together we also discussed infrastructure projects, political co-operation, and integration processes. Kosovo and Northern Macedonia should continue cultivating excellent inter-ethnic co-operation and mutual trust on the irreversible path to Euro-Atlantic integration”, Krasniqi said.
Chairman Krasniqi has also met with North Macedonia's first deputy prime minister, Artan Grubi, who has congratulated him on the crucial role of the Albanian political factor in the process of starting negotiations for North Macedonia's membership in the European Union.
The return of EU attention to the Western Balkans, its concrete steps, are good news not only for Northern Macedonia but also Kosovo, which is quick to liberalise visas, as a right now deserved for several years. Together we also discussed the situation of Albanians in northern Macedonia who are proving to be determining with their contribution to each positive institutional process”, the leader of the group said. At the end of his official visit, President Memli Krasniqi has held a meeting with Democratic Union for Integration leader Ali Ahmeti.
Krasniqi said that during this meeting, topics related to stability, peace and the future of the region were discussed for infrastructure and economic projects, which will benefit the citizens of both states as well as the energy crisis.
“I expressed PDK attitudes on all of these issues, about the need for strengthening and dimensionalising relations and co-operation between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Northern Macedonia, about the need to have a push ahead, even of all regional co-operation processes, based on equality and in a sense of common interests, whether national or economic, and so on”, he said.
Leader of The PDK highly praised Ali Ahmeti's contribution and engagement in important processes not only for northern Macedonia, but for the entire Albanian nation.
I want to close with a special thanks for Mr. Ahmeti, for his advice and willingness to always be close and in support of the citizens of Kosovo, of the institutions of our country, but also of the PDK”, he said.
DUI leader Ali Ahmeti has thanked Chairman Krasniqi for the visit and wished him well in giving his contribution and the Democratic Party of Kosovo in important processes, saying his experience and the PDK is an asset to the Republic of Kosovo.
Mr. Krasniqi and the party he leads is a major issue, it is an asset to the Republic of Kosovo in the field of the last 20 years, since after the liberation of Kosovo one of the biggest contributors to independence, but also the direction of the processes. I also expressed compassion that the main founders of this party are suffering unjustly in prisons, but here I expressed my obedience to Mr. Krasniqi, Mr. Thaci, Mr. President's party. Wessel, who the right will triumph and return triumphs to Kosovo”, Ahmeti stressed.
During official visit to northern Macedonia, chairman The PDK, Memli Krasniqi, has also attended the Eurodeputt honour ceremony Ilhan Kyuchyuk with the title “Doctor Honoris Causa”, from the American University of Europe FON in Skopje.
Krasniqi said Kyuchyuk has done an extraordinary job in promoting the European future for the Western Balkans.
“As a rapporteur for northern Macedonia and shadow rapporteur for Kosovo, in the European Parliament, Ilhan Kyuchyuk has done a tremendous job in promoting the European future for the Western Balkans. It has also contributed greatly to the development of scientific, educational co-operation, as well as to promoting European values in general”, the leader stressed PDK. /Periscopi/
