Krasniqi: Kurt is reverting dialogue to technical process, acting like administrator, not prime minister making decisions

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi, tonight on the “Context<18x1> show at ATV, has said that in the absence of knowledge, competence, the courage of leadership, Prime Minister Albin Kurti is slipping dialogue into technical process from which no final agreement is expected soon. “Our main concern is that dialogue is slipping into the process. [...]

Our main concern is that dialogue is slipping into technical process. Meanwhile, the final agreement with mutual recognition has already had to be discussed. We believe there should be no deal for anything until we agree on everything. So there's a process where there's to continue discussing technical topics as well, but there's not to be a formal agreement. To find out about everything, which is also about the final agreement”, Krasniqi said.

This Government will be remembered for lack of competence and lack of knowledge. So the total lack of experience to advance any process in any dictatorship. Then there is a lack of courage. He who comes out and seeks citizens' vote, gets their trust, should behave as prime minister, not manager. We should have a prime minister who the government, who offers leadership, who has vision and implements it. Have the guts, too,”, he added.

Chairman The PDK has said that despite the great potential currently existing, where the window of opportunity for agreement is opened in the absence of elections in the world's top countries, Kurti is not moving in that direction.

Our request has been to have a timeline for the dialogue process. All our partners talk about the window of opportunity for the dialogue process in the next 17-18 months. Given the fact that there are no US elections in this period, there are no elections in the EU, neither in France nor Germany, nor in Kosovo and Serbia, and thus the opportunity is greater. But if the last 17/18 months there has been no progress in dialogue, I cannot be optimistic that in the next 18 months there will be an end to this process unless there is a push and deadline of the dialogue process. Otherwise, we'll have a slide on technical topics. In the next month, the prime minister's table issue and the attempt to shift attention from the country's serious topics, energy crisis, inflation, price hikes, etc. ”, the leader has said. PDK.

According to Krasniqi, the return to technical dialogue is stalled and steps backwards, shifting the focus from what is the most important topic, which is the final agreement with mutual recognition. He has also talked about the involvement of President Macron's foreign advisers and Chancellor Scholtz.

I would like the dialogue to end by the end of this year. Let's get mutual recognition and move on. Move things forward. Let's remove this stone that Kosovo has left for years now. It doesn't look like anything at this stage. The additional commitment of Germany and France is welcome. But, if there will be any further slides on technical topics, then there will be no benefit for Kosovo citizens”, Krasniqi has said.
