Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has hosted representatives of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo representatives with whom he has discussed the Kosovo Government's decision on non-executing wages for August.
Krasniqi, criticising the Government for authoritarian and dictatorial access, said this arrogant behaviour towards teachers and public officials is unprecedented in our country's history.
There is no division between parents and teachers. The teachers are our parents. Teachers are parents as well. The one September school doors were closed to Albin Kurti, not closed to teachers. Because, Albin Kurti as prime minister has had all the opportunities -- that by dialogueing with unionists to find solutions -- to offer opportunities in this extraordinary economic crisis, which all Kosovo families are going through --”, Krasniqi has said.
Krasniqi has further added that no one has the right to halt unionist salaries, much less in this period when Kosovo families are facing price hikes and lack of electricity.
Subtitles: Today, Albin Kurti's government with the Iron Murati minister has deprived about 45 thousand families of their salary”, he has continued.
Krasniqi has declared that he will initiate extraordinary hearings to enable the return of legitimacy in the country, if no solution is made.
“If such a thing does not happen until early next week, we will initiate the return of MPs to the Kosovo Assembly, we will initiate holding an extraordinary session to take other actions, which will enable the return of legitimacy to this country. Let Albin Kurti know that he will never dare nor be allowed to turn Kosovo into dictatorship”, the chairman of the paper stressed. PDK.
