The Kosovo News Agency has officially been accepted as a full-fledged member of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), where it is holding the works EANA General Assembly. This is a marked day for the media and the Republic of Kosovo.
A decision to accept A.L. Kosova Prees has been made by a secret vote, where 3DOS of all members' votes are required. To be part of this organisation have applied KosovoPress (Kosovo), MIA (North Macedonia) and Armenpress (Armenia ). The meeting this time is held in Zurich, Switzerland.
Out of 32 member states, (after the war began in Ukraine, Russia's news agency, TASS has been suspended, 27 news agencies have participated. Kosovo Preress has received 25 votes (24 votes have been necessary), thus becoming the Alliance's 33rd member ( https://www.newsallition.org ).
The North Macedonia Agency (MIA) and Armenia's (Armenpress) did not achieve enough votes.
With this membership, Kosovo Presses has opened many ways to co-operate with all European News Agencys, and thanks to these agreements, media and readers will have more news from these countries in all areas.

What's EANA?
The European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) was founded on 21 August 1956 at a conference on new media technology held in Strasbourg. In 1970, agencies after the so-called “iron furniture” were invited to join. Previous EANA, Agence Alliées, was founded in 1924 and was active until World War II when activities were interrupted.
EANA serves as a forum for co-operation and exchange of information and experiences among European news agencies. At the center of the event lies the gathering and distributing of news, where a healthy environment is maintained by respecting the universal rules of journalism such as freedom of the press and honest competition. Members of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) are engaged in promoting and preserving this environment.
Kosova Prees is the 33rd member of EANA, while it will contribute without stopping to the Alliance's mission.
ABNA-SEE part of 2017
KosovoPress has already made its history in the Association of Balkan News Agencies, Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE) since its membership in 2017. In addition to contributing to the further quality establishment of ABNA-SEE, she also organised the 29th Assembly of this Association by taking over the one-year presidency, which she handed over weeks ago to the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA).
In September 2021, Kosova Prees brought their role in the post period to Pristina - CO VID.
During the Kosovo Presidency, the Balkan News Agency, Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE), managed to obtain legal status by enrolling in Sofia, Bulgaria. Officially, Kosova Prees is one of the founding agencies of ABNA-SEE, making a big contribution even to adopting the statute. Currently, Kosova Prees has a seat on the ABNA-SE board along with Greece and Turkey.
Kosovo Preress, year-on-year, steady growth
Kosovo Press news agency, since its operation as an independent media media, has recognised continued growth year after year, while in recent years it has concentrated on raising the flag and representing the state of Kosovo at the most important forums and news agencies.
Kosovars currently operates in three languages (Albanian, English and Serbian) offering subscriptions and text, audio, video and photo services. Following day-to-day activities and touching topic of currentity through topics and interviews, Kosova Prees has often been quoted by the most important world media.

Continued technical investments make Kosova Prees bring quality and visual through cameras, but also direct transmission of 10 activities simultaneously from wherever they happen.
Currently, Kosova Prees works with the News Department, the Foreign Language Department, the Department of Sales, the Department of Finance, the Projects Department, as well as the Technical Department.
