KFOR: We will raise troops in Kosovo temporarily, that's why

KFOR through a media communique has indicated there will be a temporary increase in military presence in Kosovo due to a training that will be organised from September 27th to November 2nd of this year. As a result, a military contingent from the United Kingdom wants [...]

As a result, a military contingent from the United Kingdom will arrive in Kosovo on 11 September to familiarise initially with assets and KFOR personnel before the start of the exercise.

After the exercise is completed, as KFOR suggests, the container of incoming troops will return to the United Kingdom.

“Units will conduct training activities to maintain their high level of readiness and contribute to the preservation of a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all people in Kosovo, as mandated with UN Security Council Resolution 1244. In completion during the exercise, the military contingent will leave Kosovo and return to the United Kingdom”, said the communique.
