The Justice Ministry reacts to the KKP: We'll be silent about poor performance.

The justice ministry has reacted to the Prosecutorial Council and State Prosecutor that Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Minister Albulen Haxhiu are working with political agendas, saying they will never hold back from the weak performance of the judiciary. In response, no action of the judicial system on opportunity has been taken so far. [...]
In response, no judicial system action on enabling the Ministry of Justice's access to judicial statistics has been undertaken so far, remembering that independence is reflected in decision-making and not in the final number generated by prosecutors and courts themselves.
The “judicial system opposes these statistics and claims in another reality. But who can know what are the true statistics of the Judicial and Prosecutorial Council? The Law Rule Strategy has seen the need and identified actions leading to access to the Ministry of Justice in judicial statistics. In this way, except for access to news that is broken and in real time, the Ministry, of course, would not be allowed to take any action. Access is necessary for policy planning and ultimately, law-making. Access to statistics does not threaten the independence of judiciary”, said in response.
The justice ministry seeks an independent and law-based judiciary, saying the government condemns the illegal and influential actions of the judicial system.
The actions reflected in reports of international missions and civil society, reflected in statistics presented today during the media conference, are written and open to the public. The Kosovo government is dedicated to reform and the necessary changes to the justice system, in proportion to voter demand and the need for citizens. For this we remain open to inter institutional co-operation, but we will by no means be silenced by the results of poor performance, resulting in threatening actions and reactions to welfare”, the response concludes.
The MD's reaction comes after the Prosecutorial Council and State Prosecutor today said the public proposals of Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu for prescribing cases of sexual violence in the Prosecutor's Office are completely degenerated by official reports of the prosecutorial system.
From reports by the KKP and the State Attorney, according to data on cases of sexual violence between 2017 and the first six months of 2022, four cases have been written involving sexual violence.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kurti at a conference today said that according to data on cases of sexual violence, over 200 judges have pronounced only parole sentences, fines, or allowed for prescribing cases of sexual violence.
He said that over 85% of those cases, the victims were minor girls, and about 140 prosecutors have allowed the prescription of the cases. Furthermore, he said 70% of prosecutors have allowed the prescription of subjects for these cases.
Kurti said that if the perpetrators were convicted of criminal acts and, meanwhile, found at large, this proves the failure of the institutional chain. For this reason, he says, self - medication is the only alternative to the judicial and prosecutorial system.
