Kosovo's Judiciary Council has countered Prime Minister Albin Kurti, regarding a first message a few days ago, where Kurti accused this institution of silence, especially after the shocking 11-year-old rape case. Meanwhile, regarding the statements of Minister Albulen Haxhiu, he has said it is not true that you have not been allowed access to statistics, but has added that in criminal prosecution, no one will be allowed access, as this would be unprecedented.
“Executivei has received a very biased target of the Judiciary Council. We are here to confirm that the KDR certainly has problems, but we are determined to protect the independence of judiciary”, leader Albert Zogaj has said.
This is how the prime minister struck the Judiciary Council a few days ago:
The same day, Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu met with the chairman of the Kosovo Judiciary Council, the chairman of the Supreme Court and U.d. Chief of State. Accountability in the prosecutorial and judicial system was stressed. Today is the third day, while KKP's KDP is still silent. No word regarding the actions they will take. Long time has become selective and uneven, whose heavy burden falls on the shoulders of the victims, mainly women and girls. Disobedience to offenders, and even to those who are bringing these decisions, is unacceptable”, Kurti wrote./Periscopi
