Jasharaj: We're doing everything we can to start dialogue with the government.

Meanwhile, according to ground data, some schools have started in part teaching until the Parents' Council has warned an action plan if there is no positive movement until the weekend.

The strike in education and public administration is continuing today, with the demands of the unionists for social dialogue with Government. Despite calls for unblocking the situation, union representatives say they will continue the strike until their demands are met. Education Union Chairman Nundman Jasharaj told Radio Kosovo that they are doing everything they can to sit down with Kurti Government to start dialogue, while hoping President Vjosa Osmani will also influence it.

We don't have any signals yet, we don't have any invitation right now for that. But we have to be optimistic, for the other side should be cooperative like us. Based on communication we have with our colleagues in municipalities, the strike is continuing even in public administration, and unity is excellent”, Jasharaj said.

Jasharaj, announced they may have another meeting with President Vjosa Osmani, but did not elaborate on what day it was about.

Meanwhile, the Kosovo Parents' Council has held an extraordinary meeting, where it has warned it will come up with concrete proposals to return students to school. Parents' Council Chairman Jeton Demi told Radio Kosovo that one of the points of conclusion is that children have the constitutional right to education and education, and parents are an important part of the education process, so they should be heard and accepted as key parties.

“1. Social dialogue must be activated and maintained as a means of approaching all sides and overcoming the crisis.

2. We reject and condemn any form of violence of anyone. The teacher, student, and parent triangle should be maintained by the highest care and respect. 3. Education in Kosovo is at the most serious point since the post-war and requires special treatment by governance and all sides. 4. We urge parents to refrain at the moment from straining the situation and any disappointment to express it without creating tension between the parties. 5. Children have a constitutional right to education and education, and parents are an important part of the education process so, and should be heard and accepted as a key side. 6. Students and parents should be organised to protect their constitutional right to care, education and public education at every level. 7. State institutions are obliged to protect the constitutional right of children by any means of law. 8. We suggest that the Ministry of Education review the school year's calendar as it brings confusion and confusion to parents and children. 9. Kosovo's KP leadership will meet next weekend to review the situation and come up with proposals to return students to school”, Demi has said.
