Jasharaj: ombudsman committed himself as mediator, government already joking

Jasharaj has said of Kosova Prees, that they have not accepted any new invitation from the Government for dialogue, until he indicated that yesterday the BSPK strike council has met the ombudsman, who is engaged as a kind of mediator between unions and the Government.

He's committed to being a kind of mediator, but out of the conversations we had, what he told him, it's seen that the Government continues to be remixable, continues to have a rigid attitude in the face of our demands, and that made us in this situation that we are. We are constantly in touch with our membership, meetings with municipal-level and university heads, then I'm in meetings, my colleague there and the civil servant chairman is meetings with them, since the government has not said anything new, the strikers are in the same position unfortunately”, he said.

He has blamed the government for failing to implement their demands, which considers the evental meeting to be the exploitation of irony and not to regulate the issue.

And we haven't fixed that at all, we've been asking that it's nine months, the government has made no mile of commitment to realize our demands, and even the media and the public without the eventual meeting use it to iron out how much to fix the matter, it's in the hands of the government, and there's means, it's possible to end this situation by realizing our demands, not using any rare meeting to draw a sentence within the context of me or any of us. A serious government should prove that it is serious, not ridicule, but do its work”, he stressed.

As far as the draft law on teachers' salaries is concerned, he said there is nothing clear in this law, until he said the government is not showing the value of the cofficient.

“Precisely before the strike was said to be released (law blocks) then these published, nothing clear in this law is. We have a more professional commission from the economy field and they're analyzing and I believe they'll give their assessment. What I say as SBASK chairman is that the cases are very unclear, because no one in the government says exactly and officially what the value of the cofficiency will be, because whatever the coeffinator is written, they're just numbers without arguing at the value of the coefys. In this situation that we are, we can see the cofficients who can even change along the course of the law, but no one knows how exactly someone's salary will be because we don't know the value of the coefinator”, Jasharaj added.

Jasharaj says concerned about the draft law, as he said that in this way as it has been worked, there is danger of going to the Constitution.

“They play with this cofficiency and this has become a situation when they say what pay. Sometimes it is mentioned 120 but in meetings with us, they have never been able to state the value of the cofficiency. It says that after publishing in the official newspaper, it will take another eight months to implement this law, and experts who are familiar with it have doubts that even this bill worked this way, is in danger of going to Constitution and returning to zero. It is only natural that our government will split us from 100 euros by then to face continued price attacks”, Jasharaj added.

The Union of Independent Unions of Kosovo from August 25th has launched a strike in the public sector. They are demanding planning and entry into force as soon as possible of the wage law, meeting the law on pension schemes and paying 100 euros until the adoption of the wage law.
