Moreover, seismic trembling in word is characterized as superficial, since its focal depth is estimated to be just four miles [4.7 km].
Earthquake has been felt in many areas of East Crete as well as Heraklion. According to reports, it was long in length.
Fortunately so far, no wounded persons have been reported. We remember that Crete is one of the most populated islands by Albanian immigrants living in Greece.
