The minor in August was violated by five people, but then reportedly sexually violated in June, by six people.
“The IPK confirms that we have started a preliminary investigation to see and verify what the actions or eventual neglect of police officials were about the two reported cases for the minor girl”, the IPK's response to Express.
The 11-year-old case has alarmed Kosovo's opinion.
Protests have been organised in Pristina, Tirana and Skopje.
11 suspects have been arrested and the investigation into the case is continuing further.
