The Kosovo Commission Association Board reacts to statements by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who accused the mayors of anti-state politics and, among other things, KM Kurti said that the “computer not to surrender the lists is simply anti-government policy, but it's anti-state policy”.
According to them, this approach of Kurti to them is not the approach Kosovo needs even the momentum.
“> We also remind you that municipal workers' employer is the municipality, and not the Government, but the Ministry of Finance only processes the payments because decision-makers for municipal budgets are the municipalities themselves”, it says in their response.
According to them, how can the mayors of the municipalities make anti-state politics where each of them has a prosperous event in the service of country and nation for decades and many of them and freedom fighters, as well as family martyrs who have shed blood for the state of Kosovo.
With all this contribution from the mayors, it is FYERE to name the mayors of the municipalities as anti-state of Kosovo. So the mayors have sacrificed too much for the state, saving nothing. There is no logic that a man who has fought for his country to work against the state” is now said in response.
According to them, the mayors of the municipalities are only seeking legitimacy and functioning shared among the levels of governance in Kosovo in line with the Constitution.
Therefore, Prime Minister Kurti is under a moral and institutional obligation to apologize to the mayors of the municipalities and not to encourage other situations for which the mayors have no responsibilities”.
