They were registered by Caroline Drews, then a New York University student in her dorm room on the 32nd floor.
Just before 9: 00 a.m., Caroline and her roommate were shocked by the sound of an explosion reportedly caused by plane crash in the giant tower.
She realized that something important was happening, so she started documenting it.
When the second plane hit the building, the girls suspected they could be terrorists so they wondered what they should do and started coming down to leave the building.
After graduation, Caroline came along working on television productions like the <x0... Smallville” The Vampire Diaries. ”
But on that day 21 years ago, after the plane crash in twin towers, they collapsed dramatically 42 minutes apart.
As a result of the 2,977 people were killed, about 25,000 were injured, while surviving rescue workers face a series of long-term health issues.
September 11th is considered the single most deadly terrorist act in history, but in the United States, the event is considered the largest ever-effector of firefighters and police, with 343 and 72 deaths respectively.
Several weeks after the massacre, it is believed that another 6,000 people have died from the effects of injuries.
Only about 1600 victims of the collapse of the World Trade Organization's towers were officially identified, as some “110,000 unidentified bone and tissue samples did not match the death list”, legal doctors say.
The United States government reacted to the attacks by launching several wars, some of which continue today. The attacks blamed terrorists from the Middle East.
