U n EFA condemns Ukrainian coach for his claim to Russia

I think if the Russians come to Kiev, I'll take the guns and protect my city. I'm 65 years old, but I think that would be normal. I could kill two or three enemies. ”
Russian Football Federation contacted U n EFA and requested a conviction for Petrakov for his comments, which they praised as discriminatory and contrary to UEFA's principle of political neutrality of football players and the position football should serve to promote peace.
Andriy Pavelko, head of Ukraine's Football Federation, confirmed that U EFA issued a warning and imposed a financial fine on Petrakov, which the federation will pay in his name.
Petrakov reportedly wanted to join the Ukrainian army at the start of the war but was refused because of his age and lack of military experience.
