Minister Nagavci met with SBASK representatives
At the invitation of Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Arberie Nagavci today, representatives of the United Education, Science and Culture Union ( SBASAK.
Minister Nagavci stressed that each of us has a moral and legal obligation to make sure of the welfare of children and ensure their right to education. In this case, she requested from representatives of the SBASK, that teachers from Monday begin the teaching process while dialogue will continue.
Although the strike has been announced by BSPK for 84 thousand public officials, she said most of the workers are in their jobs, while those who are undergoing the announced strike are about 320 thousand students left out of school banks.
The minister briefed SBASK representatives on the government's recent measures for the 150m-euro package, including teachers, and the actions it has undertaken in improving teaching conditions.
Meanwhile, representatives of the Union have said the 50-euro extension shared by the government is not enough, and a solution must be found to implement their demand for 100 euros.
Minister Nagavci said MASTI is for dialogue and that the union should reflect on reaching an agreement by not using extreme measures.
Meanwhile, she added that discussions with SBASK will continue as if so far. The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation once again called for all teachers to be in school from Monday and to start a regular learning process.
