The release reportedly denied students the fundamental right to education and the symbol of the first day of school after the strike is under way.
It's just as unwarranted as the emotional charge and mental confusion caused to children for almost every start of the new school year. The education sector in Kosovo is in deep crisis, and leaders of institutions and trade unions are aware of that. But, on the one hand, the Government of Kosovo, not prioritising education, while on the other hand trade unions triggering the total blockade of education repeatedly (the most extreme union body), are clearly spreading without their professional and human responsibility in relation to children and country”.
“The ETEA body considers it urgent and requires the United Education, Science and Culture Union (SBASHK) not to turn children into union instruments, but to use other ways of putting pressure on institutions for the well-being of teachers/ETEA, which is obviously intended by ETEA is constantly supported and committed to”.
“Tutje, ETEA considers it urgent and calls on the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and innovation (MASHTI) to become the head of the task by engaging in dialogue and common language for resolving discontent, as this is the duty and full responsibility of this latter”, the report said.
