Court rules: Adelina Ismaili and her sisters will testify via video connection to the Sekirax trial.

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has decided that witnesses Adelaina, Zafina and Emma Ismaili will be heard through video-line, in the trial of Enver Sekirras, who is being accused of inciting the killing of Triumf Riza. Initially, regarding witnesses Adelaina, Zafina and Emma Ismaili, prosecutor Haki Gecaj said he remains close to the proposal given even earlier that if the defense would agree to receive and read their statement given in all phases of the procedure, he himself would be reconciled, reports the “Bet on Justice“.
I have even stated in previous hearings that if the defence is agreed, I would agree to be taken and read all their statements given in all phases of the procedure in the police, prosecutor, and in court review and I have remained close to this proposal even now standing at”, prosecutor Gecaj said.
On the other hand, regarding these witnesses, the prosecutor proposed that the same ones, if they express readiness to testify, be questioned through the video link.
While Sekirasa's defender, lawyer Driton Musliu said the same is reported that Kosovo's preliminary lawyer Kelmendi has consented to read witness statements Adelina, Zafina and Ismaili data in court, but not the statement given to the police and prosecutor.
“I have reported that Kosovo's preliminary lawyer Kelmendi has consented to read witness statements Adelina, Zafine and Emma Ismaili given in court, rather than statements given to police and prosecutor”, lawyer Musliu said.
The same did not contest the proposal for these witnesses to be heard through the video link.
Later, the proposal for witness hearing Ismaili via video-line has been approved by Judge Kuci.
“The special prosecutor's proposal that witnesses Adelaina, Zafina and Emma Ismaili are approved with the aim of economy of the procedure and its failure to deliver their testimony through video-line”, Judge Kuci said.
As for witness D2, prosecutor Gecaj said that for the same in the meantime he has tried to find his contact on the official road, but so far without success and added that once they ensure his contact, he will announce the court's appointment of a hearing session.
According to lawyer Musliu, lawyer Kelmendi has also demanded that the same be secured and heard.
Since there were no conditions for furthering this trial, the next session was scheduled on October 3, 2022.
