The Kosovo Parents' Council has warned that it will not accept students in the country to replace the hours they are losing as a result of the education workers' strike in this early September.
In a public response Friday, the KKP has said it will mobilise to boycott the replacement of classes now missing.
“Expressing our deep indignation over not moving parties towards social dialogue and continuing to seriously undermine the interest of children and parents, we suggest to all institutions that the headship of the Council of Parents of Kosovo will be mobilized and will call on all parents to boycott the replacement of hours lost by the strike. We don't even want to be harmed by strikes and adjust to hours outside working days or outside the annual teaching calendar”, it says in response.
The first and second day of the new school year has found most of the closed schools. The education union and other public sectors in the majority have gone on strike, demanding an additional 100 euros a month until the Law's entry into force for the ransom. /Periscopi/
