Blinken announces $2 billion military aid to Europe, including Kosovo

At the meeting with senior Ukrainian officials, Blinken said the Biden administration had announced Congress on its intent to send $2 billion for military long-term financing to Ukraine and its 18 neighbours, including NATO member states and regional security partners, which “are potentially the most endangered for future Russian aggression”.
Waiting for approval by Congress, around $1 billion will be allocated to Ukraine, and the rest will be distributed to countries such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, the State Department announced.
This assistance once again demonstrates our steadfast commitment to Ukraine's future as an independent, democratic and sovereign state, as well as to the security of our allies across the region”, the announcement said. /Periscopi/
