6 Years in Jail Leposaviqi Police Charged for Corruption

The Constitutional Court in Pristina on Monday has declared condemnation of Leposaviqi police charged with corruption, Ana Vasovic-Barac, Veroljub Dimitrijevic and Izet Uskovic, condemning them to 6 years and 3 months in prison. In this case, Ana Vasovic-Barac, Veroljub Dimitrijevic and Izet Uskovic were accused of participating or organising the criminal group in terms of misuse of official position or authority and taking bribes.

The trial against the three indictees was announced Monday by the chairman of the court, Judge Albina Shaban-Rama.

The trial panel after counseling and voting received and publicly declared this plea against defendants Ana Vasovic-Barac, Veroljub Dimitrijevic and Izet Uskovic, where he unanimously found that defendants in question are guilty each except for the criminal work “due to the use of office or official authority” by Article 422, par.1 and 2 related to subheading 2.33 and with paragraph 1 of the Penal Code.

The Court has not found elements of the criminal act “organised by” and criminal activity “Briberging “for which it has found the actual status that fits the criminal work “You have access to official position or authority”, of which the same was found guilty.

Courts of the Indiscreet separately for the criminal offence he has been convicted of prison and him -- defendants Ana Vasovic-Baraq and Veroljub Dimitrijevic sentenced to two years and six months (each except separate), while defendants Izet Uskovic sentenced to prison terms in terms of 15 months, reports the “Betriming for Justice<1>.

Also, the Conform Court Article 62 of the Penal Code, defendants in question (each separate and separate) was pronounced the supplementary sentence - the ban on public administration exercise or public service during the duration of three years after the sentence was carried out.

Under the trial, the defendants in question will also be counted in the pronounced sentence of time spent in house custody and house arrest.

The defendants Ana Vasovic-Barac and Veroljub Dimitrijevic will be counted the time spent from May 28th 2019 to April 24th 2021, while defendants Izet Uskovic spent time in detention and house arrest from May 28th 2019 to August 24, 2020.

Indictees Ana Vasovic-Barac, Veroljub Dimitrijevic and Izet Uskovic are detained to pay the procedure's expenses according to the court's final account, while on behalf of the judiciary each will pay the amount of 100 euros.

In addition, on behalf of the funding for compensation to the victims, each alone is obliged to pay 50 euros, all of them in the 30-day term, from the day of the integrity of this act.

Defendant Ana Vasovovic-Barac returns to the passport, which has been taken into account for the detention break.

The sides have a right to complaint within 15 days of the court's acceptance day.

Otherwise, Alexander Dimitrijevic and Darko Saviq were accused of being charged in this case, but following their hearing in qualities of collaborative witnesses, criminal procedures were isolated for them, and on March 15, 2021, the same had been convicted and sentenced to a thousand euros fine for smuggling with migrants, while released for criminal work “the bribe case”.

According to the indictment filed on April 23, 2020 by the SPRK, Ana Vasovovic-Barac, Veroljub Dimitrijevic and Izet Uskovic were accused of being on the run from 2016 to 2019, continuing in co-operation with indictees Radosavljevic, Milan Jovanovic and Dragan Radojevic, who are on the run, acting as an organised group under the leadership of indictee Rade Radosaleviq, commander of the station at the SPPpos Lekaviq station, with the intent to take part of the criminal group.

According to the SPRK, the accused had allowed and allowed the smuggling of various goods and such as food goods, the transport of wood, drugs and derivatives from Serbia to the Republic of Kosovo, and vice versa, via illegal routes.

The prosecution claims that the three defendants, while on official duty, were overseeing the roads of the border belt in the Muri villages, Sharpel and Tresawa, and co-operating with defendants Aleksandar Dimitrijevic, Darko Savic and other people, as cargo carriers, where from the same for passing vehicles with goods, they have accepted different amounts of money, according to tariffs designated for each vehicle and from 20 euros for small cars, 30-50 euros for vans and 100-150 for each truck.

According to the PSRK, part of this money they've taken to themselves, part of the money has gone to the head of the station commander, now defendant Rade Radosavljevic, where they've taken up the post for each change to pay and on a monthly basis the amount of 700 euros, while the rest have been divided to the exchanger's police officers, which have now received directly from the smugglers' side or even in places they've been instructed to leave, as at the <x>Caflic>, Mudok> store <2>

In this case, according to the indictment, they have benefited considerable amounts of money and caused considerable material damage to the budget of the Republic of Kosovo.

Charged Ana Vasovic-Barac was charged with acting as a member of the criminal group and as an official person in the Kosovo Police, precisely leading the shift in the SPPC-Leposaviq, having been actively involved in carrying out these criminal acts, cooperating with other defendants as well as smugglers, in the way that and after communication and agreement with them has given instructions for the time and place to spend and from having accepted various sums of money, whether personally or in certain places, where a part has held for itself and the rest of the leader of Radjevic's leadership team.

Indictee Veroljub Dimitrijevic was charged with acting as a member of the criminal group and as an official person in the Kosovo Police, patrolled officers in the SPPC-Leposaviq, having been active in carrying out these criminal acts by collaborating with other defendants as well as smuggling, in the way that he has implemented the instructions of the station's chiefs and commanders, and following the communication with the same, he has instructed smugglers in which places and in what time pass, from where he has received different sums of money and a lot of the shares, while delivering the rest to the leaders of the Radov's station and the leader of the Radovic group.

Izet Uskovic was charged by the prosecution that acting as a member of the criminal group and as an official person in the Kosovo Police, deputy leader of the SPC-Leposaviq, has been actively involved in carrying out these criminal acts by cooperating with other defendants, and especially with defendant Dragana Radojevic, who has given away the same amounts of money that the commander and commander of the station have applied, instructing smugglers in which countries they pass, taking different amounts of money and going to certain countries to collect the sums of money that the smugglers had left the same amounts to the leader of the station and the return of the Radljevic team, Radova.

With these actions, the prosecution charged the accused with committing criminal acts “The taking or organising of the organised criminal group”, “due to use of official position or authority” and “Retracting”.

According to the indictment, Aleksandar Dimitrijevic and Darko Saviq were charged that from 2016 to 2019, in line with the intention of illegal material gain, smuggling goods, and food goods, transportation of trees, drugs and derivatives, from the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Kosovo, and vice versa, avoiding customs and customs checks with the case of imports or export of goods, in the way that currently co-operating with defendants Rade Radovljevic, Milan Anacovovovo, Baracsko, Izkosko and Dragvio Uqoje officials in Kosovo's quality of imports or export of goods, have caused damages in Kosovo's budgetary damage to Kosovo, and the budget damage to Kosovo.

With these actions, the prosecution charged accused Aleksandar Dimitrijevic and Darko Savic with committing criminal work “consuming with bads”.

With these actions, the prosecution charged accused Aleksandar Dimitrijevic and Darko Savic with committing criminal work “The bribe code”.
