Tahiri: Government, KEK inability is costing Kosovo 56m euros in losses per month

LDK member Dzafer Tahiri has said Kosovo has lost 56m euros in energy since 19 July. “130 MWh of energy is not being produced in the A5 Block in KEK, July 19th 2022. With the current cost of energy in stock markets, this in number loses $78,000 an hour: or [...]

“130 MWh of energy is not being produced in the A5 Block in KEK, July 19th 2022. With the current cost of energy in the stock market, this in number loses $78,000 per hour: either 1 million 870 thousand euros per day or 56m a month. And this loss will continue until A5 returns to production“, Tahiri wrote in a Facebook post.

For this, Xhaferi blamed Government and KEK board.

Therefore, 56 million euros a month in Kosovo is costing the inability of the KEK Government and Board, because KEK for one year has failed to start remont in the A 5, due to technical causes from July 19th to stop the entire A5 Block. Nor is there a contract for remont of this KEK block!

Xhaferi suggested that these state losses could invest in several other areas.

What would Kosovo do with 56 million dollars a month? So that would build kindergartens for children in all of Kosovo, or from Kosovo's budget, instead of spending this money on energy, they were used to increase the salaries of teachers and doctors”.

Why hasn't A5 remont happened on time? Because the tender for remont has probably prepared board Homies selected from this government, the tender has failed, Block A 5 has stopped, KEK produces 130. MWh less while the state budget is being spent on buying energy, and yet we have reductions to the point of summer”.

Mahr has an address!”, call Tahiri.
