Kosovo Police General Director Samedin Mehmeti has said they are in the investigation procedure concerning the recent event in the country's north.
There are criminal cases open, we're in investigation procedure, it's just a day from when they're withdrawing, it's still too early to talk about how many people are being investigated, when we have accurate information we're going to go public”, he said.
The police director has spoken at a media conference, where he presented the project with new equipment “Intelligent Palace”.
Kosovo police will start implementing the intelligent patrol project, devices that will electronicly make the identification of speed, traffic violations, unregistered vehicles, stolen vehicles and enable the identification of persons and tools in search.
According to police, these devices will enable the pronunciation of fines digitally.
Mehmeti has said that vehicles with these equipment will be available throughout the country, including highways and urban areas.
The Kosovo citizen will understand that from today on in communications there will be vehicles and technical means that change the approach of the police to the criminals. Oppositions have been identified through the ban so far. In the following days, identification will be made by technical devices, sensors, radars, car cameras installed make identification. The bans will be made until dates are confirmed by vehicles, while then there will be no bans, the fine will be made electronically”, Mehmeti said.
