Nobody's loving Milan and Inter has turned Ronaldo down.

Corriere dello Sports has provided several details about how Manchester United star agent Jorge Mendez had contacted Milan's two clubs at the end of June and early July to learn their interest in his client, who wants to leave northwest England this summer.

Ronaldo would be happy to pass on to one of these clubs because of their history and their chance to play the Champions League, but also because he wants this city.

Both Inter and Milan have immediately rejected the idea. Both teams have no interest in paying Ronaldo's extremely high salary, which is 24m euros in the season, and even tax advantages would not help them.

That's because the Portuguese star left last August without taking Italian citizenship, so no Serie A club could benefit from this law, which means they would have to pay him 45m euros gross a year.

A number of other clubs in Europe are also believed to have rejected Ronaldo this summer, including Bayern Munichun, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germainin, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

Ronaldo reportedly now hopes to return to Sporting Lisbon, even because of his history with this club and his chance to play the Champions League. The movement implies that it should also be done with the help of Manchester University for his salary, since the Portuguese club cannot provide such a salary.
