French media show why Brother Paul Pogban is threatening him

The next day, court sources in Paris confirmed that an investigation into the attempted extortion in an organised gang has been opened after Paul claimed that a group had attempted to exhumate it for 13m euros, threatening it with firearms.

A close source of the case told the newspaper “Franceinfo” that the older brother (Mathias) and childhood friends of Paul Pogba are all suspected.

Of all accounts, Paul and Mathias who is also a professional footballer have had a good relationship over the years. However, Paul's claims point to a dramatic breakdown in dual relations in recent months.

While Mathias has not yet been revealed why he allegedly used his extortion, it is fair to say that Paul was the most successful of the Pogba brothers.

Their very different career handlers may go somewhat toward explaining the dramatic turn of events.

While he has struggled for a stable shape in recent seasons, 29-year-old Paul has enjoyed the success and wealth that most football players could only dream of.

Besides playing for two of the biggest clubs in the world, making over 150 presentations for England's Manchester United and Italy's Juventus he is also a World Cup winner with the French national.

Pogba won the tournament in Russia in 2018, and even scored the third and ultimately winning goal in the finals a dramatic 4-2 victory over Croatia.

For Juvenus, he has won four times the best Italian league (Serie A), twice Italy's Cup and twice Italy's Supercup. For Manchester United, he won the European League in 2017, and the League Cup that same year.

To add to this success, he has also been one of the leading winners of sports and the most commercial figures, gaining a reputation as a bigger financial character.

Before leaving Manchester United earlier this year, he was said to have earned about 18m euros annually. Now, he is thought to earn ninem euros a year after his transfer to Juventus, in addition to profits from his lucrative sponsorship agreements.

Moreover, with over 55 million followers in the Instagram, he is among the most influential football players in the world. Only players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar are followed by more people on the social media platform.

His wealth means he has developed a trend for wonderful purchases, such as extravagant cars and luxury houses until the point where he questioned some experts for his commitment to football, despite his apparent ability.

Postings at Instagram and photos of paparazzi have shown his extravagant lifestyle like him driving with a driver on a Rolls Royce and playing table football in his basement in front of a large fish tank.

His movement in Turin meant that he should sell his fivem-euro house in Manchester, which contained a pool and its inner mini football field.

He also reportedly has an apartment in Miami and is married to the bolivian model Maria Zulay Salaue. They have two kids together.

His parents, Shasu Antoine and Yeo Moriba Pogba, were both born in Guinea. His two other brothers -- Mathias and Florentin, who are twins -- were also born there, while Paul was born in France three years later.

As is often the ambition of football awesomes from modest beginnings, Paul Pogba has been able to share these successes with his family, which has always been a source of support.

His mother and brothers have often been seen looking at Paul from the tribune and having emotionally celebrated his World Cup victory in the field in 2018. His father also often watched his games until his death in 2017.

Mathias and Florentin are themselves professional football players. Florentin currently plays as the defender for Indian club ATK Mohun Bagan, while Mathias plays at the ESM Belfort a club currently in France's fourth category.

Mathias has previously played English football in Wrejam, Crewe and Crawley Town, but no more than 66 presentations for a single club (Wrexham).

During his time at the Waysian Club from 2010 to 2012 Mathias lived with Paul, who was then fighting during his first stay at Old Tuffford.

However, none of Paul's older brothers have reached the same staggering heights of global stars that he has reached in the last decade. Mathias in particular has gone from club to club to lower divisions, or playing for team B.

Mathias Clubs like Crawley Town, Sparta Rotterdam and Racing Murcia have not the same financial power as Manchester United and Juventus, and therefore he would have won much less during his career as a player.

And while Mathias and Florentin both played for the national team of Guinea, Mathias has been pulled out of international football.

Paul, meanwhile, continues to play for France and is expected to be part of the team defending the Qatar World Cup crown later this year.

In recent months, it seems that the relationship between Mathias and his family has been dramatically ruined, with Paul saying that the gang accused him of not helping them financially since it became a great name.

According to French sources, Paul said the men were looking for money for defence services that span 13 years ago, including the time he spent in Manchester.

He claims that two armed men said he was informed by “in a discrete” over a period that lasted more than a decade and in Turin, he says he recognised Mathias among those who came to his house to scare him, according to sources.

A statement signed by his lawyers, his mother and current agent Rafaela Pimenta said the videos are unfortunately not surprising and were like additional threats and other extortion efforts.

Such a threat, Pogba reportedly told investigators, was to claim that he had asked a witch to cast a spell on the Paris Superstar Saint-Germain and French teammate Kylyan Mbarppe, something Pogba denies.

On Sunday evening, a close source told the newspaper Franceinfo that the older brother and childhood friends of Pogba are all suspected.

But last night, Mathias denied his best-known brother's claims in a furious explosion on Twitter.

He wrote: Paul, you really wanted to shut me up and lie to me and send me to jail, I suspected that now it's true, my version of the facts happens and unlike you.

Pogba said the gang demanded 13m euros and had threatened it for four months.

Fear acts were performed in Manchester in April, and later in the Italian town of Turin, where Pogba currently plays for Juvenus. In Turin, sources have said, Pogba met his brother Mathias in the middle of the gang.

The gang also reportedly feared Pogban in the Paris neighbourhood of Lagny-sur-Marne, where Pogba grew up in late March. There the gang members accused him of not helping them financially since he became a professional player.

During police interviews, Paul Pogba said he was always close to his childhood friends and helped them financially when he could.

The 2018 World Cup winner (show right with his wife, Zilay Pogba) left United for the second time this summer and joined Italian giants Juventus. Sometimes in his career, he was one of the best winners of sports and most commercial figures.

But in January he expelled one of his home to Manchester after discovering that the unidentified man had used Pogba's credit card to steal 200,000 euros.

“During various sessions, Paul Pogba was able to trust investigators from the Judiciary Police Central Office against Organised Crime that he was trapped by childhood friends and two men with armed hoods with assault rifles”, a judicial source said.
