Many British and American media make this known and confirm it also by CBS, which is owned by “Paramount Global”. The agreement was signed for the next six seasons of this elite football competition.
U n EFA and “Paramount Global” had a signed contract earlier running in 2024, and the price in the contract then was about 100m euros a year. Under the new contract, the price for the season has doubled and represents one of the most profitable contracts in sports and television history, the news broadcast.
Also, a rare thing has happened in the long term of the contract, as this is the first six-year agreement signed by the European Football Federation. The practice of that organisation was signing contracts for three years.
This agreement, in addition to the Champions League matches, includes the rights to matches of the League of Europe and the League of Conference.
We remember that last year's final of the Champions League between Real and Liverpool was attended by 2.8 million viewers from the American audience.
