For just seven days: Gjakova police seize 100 driver's license, pronounce 1374 fines

Police report that the regional communications unit in Gjakova has undertaken the “Alcooli” plan to prevent road accidents.

“Regional Road Communications Unit in Gjakova from 26.07.2022 to the date 01.08.2022 in implementing Operational Plan “Alcooli” has been testing alcohol for the 410 engine executives that have been confiscated, as a protective measure, 53 driver's license to executives who have used alcohol. Other preventative and punitive measures have also been taken against criminals who have caused additional offences, where 1374 traffic fines have been imposed for a week and about 100 driver's license have been confiscated”, the report said.

The Regional Police Directorate in Gjakova has come up with an appeal for all participants in road traffic to implement legal provisions and traffic regulations and contribute to a higher safety in road traffic and not to become causers of victims in road accidents.
