Kosovo's Chamber of Commerce and Industry is extremely concerned about the KED's decision to begin with the reductions of electrical energy, which is now being seen in the capital, demanding electricity security and reductions.
Electricity reductions in this heavy time for businesses would greatly harm them, and the consequences would be to lose the market both inside and abroad and in loss of jobs.
The Chamber of Commerce, as requested earlier, requires the Government of Kosovo to take precautionary measures and KEDS to supply 24h more electricity to businesses, and urgently take adequate measures not to reach the continuation of electricity cuts, as warned by KEDS 6 hours of electricity and 2 hours without power.
The Chamber of Commerce in County is announcing and asking the Government to provide more support to businesses in order to cope with this not easy situation, caused by the pandemic and war in Ukraine, which has greatly changed the course of doing business, so we consider that in this direction the Government should do much more to cope with the situation.
The Chamber of Commerce requires once again from the Government to support businesses with soft loans, VAT reductions in food, temporary removal of excises, changing certain fiscal policies, and adopting certain laws that would contribute to workplace maintenance and growth opportunities.
The Trenge Chamber has held several meetings and has asked the ERE to buy electricity from businesses and citizens and not the same to be compensated, and also to be bought by farmers who outside the area are losing energy, which is produced as a result of the ZRR's inability to purchase.
All these actions, including an attractive investment bid in this direction, would reduce our dependence on imports and reductions warned by the KEDS.
