Manchester United met with Benjamin Sesko's agent last Wednesday, but RB Salzburg doesn't want to sell this merkato unless they receive offers of over 65m euros.
The 19-year-old striker has already been linked to the transfer of Newcastle, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in this summer merkato, but United is apparently leading the race for his signature.
Sesko has started the season in good shape, marking two goals in the first friendly Salzburg games, and the club is reluctant to let the Slovenian star leave, Kosova Prees follows.
Sesco's agent had sparked speculation last week after he posted a photo in his account at “Instagram” dining near the Tyne Bridge, however, there has still been no formal talks or approaches from the Newcastle team.
Newcastle wants at all costs to reinforce the attack this summer, and has also been linked to the transfers of Harvey Barnes and Jack Harrison.
United interest in Sesco comes as Cristiano Ronaldo's future remains unclear. The Portuguese star returned to the club this week, but United is preparing targets in case he should replace Ronaldon.
Sesko, who scored Salzburg's winning goal during their last pre-sezonal (01) victory over Liverpool, is seen as a possible option to replace Ronaldo.
