Spain reported its first death yesterday, shortly after Brazil reported its first death associated with monkey smallpox outside Africa.
In its latest report Saturday, the Spanish Health Ministry said 4,298 cases were confirmed in the country, reports Guardian, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
The Brazilian victim was a 41-year-old man who, according to the health ministry, also suffered from lymphoma and a weakened immune system.
