“Pristina Parking”, which deals with parking management in the capital, has warned that very soon it will extend the schedule to area 1 and zone 2, because there are more car frequenting in these two areas. Liridon Restelica, chief executive in “Pristina Parking”, said they are awaiting approval from the Pristina Community, which, in addition to extending the schedule for these two areas, gives priority to resident residents.
“We have applied to the Pristina municipality to be the parking lot management by 1100 in area 2 while by 24:00 in zone 1. And the Municipal Assembly will determine the time period when parking should be used only by resident residents. I don't think we'll have any trouble, but we'll give the residents a priority to”, he said.
Public Services Director Iliric Musliu told Radio Kosovo that there have been requests and complaints by residents regarding parking lots in the capital, and that they are working on the new regulation to find solutions for residents as well.
The goal is to have residential parking lots only be in the use of residential residents, after marking, signaling, laureate and camera, and to have management from “Parking”, but not on time and with the possibility of using other cars”, Musliu added.
The “Pristina Parking” system is currently located in three more frequent areas of the capital, in which a sign informing about the payment system is placed. The payment system is worth between Monday and 7: 00 a.m. until Friday at 7: 00 p.m., while for an hour the parking lot in the area is 1 euro, and in the area of 2, 0.50 cents.
