Major fires in Mitrovica Police, KSF, KFOR intervene for extinction

Several villages in South Mitrovica have been engulfed by fire, and firefighters along with the Kosovo Police, the Kosovo Security Force and KFOR are on the scene.
This has been confirmed for Radio Free Europe, Fajrije Plana, Kosovo Police spokeswoman for the South Mitrovica region.
“About 3:08 today, a fire was reported in the village of Crnusha. The fire has spread to the village of Kqiq, pine and Zaselle. Police units, firefighters, KSF and KFOR firemen are on the scene trying to locate the fire, and in case we need to evacuate residents”.
While the deputy director of police for the northern region, Besim Hoti, told Radio Free Europe that the fires in North Mitrovica have not been large and have soon been extinguished.
“There were classic fires. There are these fires that are burning these fields, they've been in the village of Suhadol, but they've killed the firemen quickly. Sjka at”, he said.
Europe is facing fires as a result of the heat wave that is ruling in recent days.
Great fires in Europe have become more frequent, causing more damage, and are becoming harder to extinguish.
France, Spain, Slovenia, Croatia and Greece are some of the countries facing fires.
