Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has hosted a farewell meeting of Sweden's ambassador to Kosovo, Karin Hernmarck.
In a media communiqué, it becomes known that Prime Minister Kurti has thanked Hernmarck's ambassador for co-operation and for Sweden's continued support for the Republic of Kosovo over the years.
He expressed gratitude for the ambassador's active role in promoting gender equality and environmental protection.
He also praised the Swedish ambassador for the decision to apply for NATO membership, stressing that Sweden's NATO membership will be a added value to the alliance and will strengthen peace and security in Europe.
It becomes known that Ambassador Hernmark has thanked for co-operation, co-operating with the reforms it has begun, for the institutional stability it has brought, and for focusing on policies that transform citizens' lives.
He also reiterated the government's commitment to supporting sweeping and sustainable economic development, rule of law and free and democratic society.
Sweden is among the four largest donors in Kosovo, which has helped with over 10m euros annually in public institutions and civil society organisations in economic and democratic development projects, human rights and environmental protection, which have helped transform our society.
