Kryeziu: State Bureau will be a political instrument and will be used by witch-war politics

Ismet Kryeziu from the Kosovo Democratic Institute through a post in his Facebook account has reacted after Kosovo's Assembly has in principle adopted the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscating of Inexistable Riches, writes Periscope. He said the Bureau will now be a political instrument, but will not [...]
He said the Bureau will now be a political instrument, but will not serve as an anti-corruption mechanism.
He even had a message for the Kurt government.
The Kurti government, despite the power of numbers, should not give itself this power of political whip. Nor leave it available to others that tomorrow could potentially be the parliamentary majority”, he said.
We remember that, with opposition from the opposition, the Kosovo Assembly has in principle adopted the Bill for the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscating of Inexcusable Riches. And Chief Parliamentary Glauk Konjufca has abstained again.
The bill has received 58 votes for and three abstentions.
His full post:
Today, the parliamentary majority has shown arrogance towards the recommendations of the Venice Commission, the opposition and a civil society group, using the bill in populist style. To build a political trap, those who oppose this bill are thieves, and we who are in favor of following these thieves.
The State Bureau of Verification and Confiscating of Unjustified Riches, based on the bill voted today, will not be a anti-corruption mechanism, but a political instrument and will be used by witch warfare politics. When, from the chair of the powerful, you hunt the weak for political reasons.
Moreover, with this Bureau as voted out today, the real battle against corruption will be brought back to the battle of political patrols, where everyone and no one are congregated.
On behalf of the fight against corruption, even when these bills conflict with human rights, the Constitution of Kosovo, with recommendations from international institutions, the Kurti Government, despite the power of numbers, should not give itself this power of political whip. Nor leave it available to others that could potentially be the parliamentary majority tomorrow.
