Sainz's car was suddenly slowed at the exit of the bend until smoke was seen coming out of the back of his Ferrari.
The Spaniard then stopped the car off the runway, which was caught in flames a few moments later.
The fire was found to explode in the car until Saintz fortunately managed to escape without any injuries.
