Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi yesterday during reporting to the Commission for European Integrations indicated that the arrangement of this meeting has failed, saying President Vuciq has not indicated readiness for the meeting.
The “Ide has been preparing the field for the next meeting, maybe this week, tomorrow, between the two heads of state, but this has failed because of Mr. Vuciq's unwillingness to go to Brussels. Mr. Kurti has been declared ready to start discussing the comprehensive agreement as soon as possible, but Vuciq has argued the visit of Egypt's president, who is expected to stay three days in Serbia”, Bislim said.
Regarding the failure of this meeting, Prime Minister Albin Kurti's office has also said the “guilty” of the failure of this meeting was the Serbian president.
That's what he said about Telegrafi, the government's spokesman, Kryeziu Progress through a written answer.
“Prime Minister Kurti has expressed readiness for a high-level political meeting as he has expressed readiness to hold it this month. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi has even stayed in Brussels last week to prepare the grounds for a meeting at the level of state leaders. This meeting has failed because of Serbia's unwillingness for such a meeting, expressed on one side through pressures for changing the agenda of the trilateral meeting at the chief negotiators level and on the other side of the argument that the meeting cannot be held because of Egypt's president's visit to Serbia”, Kryeziu has said.
He has added that these Serbian actions are aimed at sabotageing the dialogue process.
Serbia's “These actions are in the wake of actions aimed at sabotageing the dialogue process. While Prime Minister Kurti, in addition to the readiness for meetings, has already expressed willingness and interest to start discussions on the comprehensive agreement”, Kryeziu said.
Dialogue players, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, have not met in Brussels since July 2021.
So far, they have held only two meetings and both have not produced any concrete results.
We remember that the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia has started since 2011, with the European Union's mediation and support from the United States.
