Drink water freely: Government imposes Kosovo gastronoms to serve Cesme water customers

The government has made gastronomy locals task that they do not deprive customers of tap water in case they are supplied by public water supply.

Health Minister Rifat Latifi presented to the government cabinet standards of water quality for consumption to protect people's health.

With this decision, rules are set for gastronomial businesses in water service for customers.

In order to set normal standards for water quality destined for human consumption... I propose the approval of the decision that: in cases where gastronomy objects are supplied by the public water supply, the business owner cannot prevent customers from serving with water tap”, Latifi said.

The minister also showed the rules if the gastronomy object is not supplied by the water supply.

“In cases where the gastronomy object is claimed to be supplied from well water, the owner of the object is obliged to design and implement the operational water quality monitoring plan and be equipped with IKSHPK quality certificate and expose this certificate to local”, he said.
