U n EFA and FIFA imposed a ban on participation of the Russian state in their tours on 28 February, days after Russia began its invasion in Ukraine.
The decision made today by the Arbitrazhi Sportiv Court takes Russian champion Zen away from the stage of the Champions League Group and leaves Sochi out of the lot for the third qualifying round of the League Champions, scheduled for Monday. CSKA Moscow and Dunamo Moscow were other clubs involved, writes Periscope.
As for the selections, Russia had already been excluded from réplay off recently qualified for the men's world championship, as well as the European women's, Portugal's hot spot.
