Once upon a time, only males, while already the history of Albanian arbitration in Europe, are women writing it.
Erinda Kume is the first Albanian arbitrator to be selected to participate in the final phase of the U-19 Women's European Championship. A few days ago she was appointed as an assistant to the England match
Norway, marking a major personal achievement, as well as the world of Albanian arbitration.
In an exclusive interview for fsf.org, she relates the emotions and feelings of being the first official female to participate in a event of this importance. She says the responsibility of being part of such matches is much greater, while stressing that such achievements are also due to the good work being done by the FSF Arbitration Sector. Erinda also points to future goals.
Erinda, the first Albanian arbitrator to participate in a European final phase, is that a little emotional?
The feelings I've experienced at the moment I was selected in a European final are difficult to describe in words. It was definitely a very enthusiastic feeling. I have to say without a doubt that this selection is a major achievement for both myself and the world of Albanian arbitration and the development of the women's arbitration in our country. The selection to be part of such a competition confirms once again the good work being done with arbitration.
Emotions of the first match. Tell us in some detail your arbitration and the difference with the other international matches you've arbitrated in your career?
To arbitrate the match at a European final stage and match this level, I must say they are completely different from the matches I've previously arbitrated. For one thing, emotion and commitment are greater, as is responsibility. The first match, which was my debut, will be long remembered in my memories of arbitration because it's a feeling not experienced twice in the same form.
What about Albanian arbitration that a girl is part of a European?
For Albanian arbitration this representation in a final phase of the European Championship was one of the greatest successes. An indication that the arbitration sector and the FSHF have worked well is laying solid grounds for further growth and certainly confirmed the fact that if it works hard and sets priorities, my work is rewarded and that my representation was representation of all girls in today's arbitration of Albanian football. The new recruits should appreciate my achievement as a very good omen and be a support to them and their future in this field.
What are your goals for the future? What goals does Erinda Cume have?
) After this important international representation and achievement, I would like to point out that even my goals have become even bigger and more determined on this profession. When you achieve something that you dream, you start to be motivated to give more of yourself and not look at the limits ahead. My targets will talk to the time and work I do every day!
