Renowned German footballer arrested, allegedly raping an adolescent

“Daily Star” reported that the footballer was arrested by Spanish authorities after an 18-year-old female reported having been raped in a villa in San Jose.

In the case, the female reportedly went to a nearby hospital.

The name of the arrested footballer has not yet become known, but it is said to refer to a prominent footballer who activates at one of Bundesliga's large clubs.

Aside from a footballer so far unknown, another male has reportedly been arrested. Two detainees are German citizenship.

Spanish authorities have launched investigations into this case.

The alleged sexual assault reportedly occurred during the early hours of Wednesday morning, however, it is still unclear whether those arrested have already been submitted to the court hearing.
