American swimmer Anita Alvarez has lost consciousness while in the swimming pool, competing, and therefore for a few seconds she remained immersed in the bottom of the pool.

Fortunately, the rapid intervention of the 25-year-old coach proved to be crucial to Alvarez's life, while the medical team was quick to react by stabilising the health situation of the American athlete.
