The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has hosted the foreign minister of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, today.
At the meeting, President Osmani has discussed with Minister Schallenberg about Kosovo's engagement on its European path.
The president has stressed that Kosovo has met the criteria for visa liberalisation, so according to her, it is up to the EU to keep its promise in relation to the people of Kosovo.
In this context, President Osmani has requested Austrian support not only on this issue, but also on the Kosovo membership process at the Council of Europe and other international organisations.
During the discussion of developments in relation to Russia's aggression towards Ukraine, President Osmani has declared that Kosovo's stance is fully in line with the EU, the US and all democratic countries.
As for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, President Osmani has stressed that he should focus on mutual recognition.
Kosovo is a constructive party in this process and constitutional order, sovereignty and current borders are non-negotiable”, President Osmani has said.
The meeting also discussed interstate relations, in which the two sides expressed readiness for their deepening, in the field of foreign policy, education, trade exchange, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
