Last May, the paper M ARCAH published one of the documents, which could leave Ecuador without participation in the World Cup finals, after the Chilean national complaint, in which it claimed that the Castillo Bureau, a player who played for Ecuador, is truly Colombian.
A month later, this same newspaper had access to new original documents, which would be evidence to verify that football player is truly Colombian.
FIFA already owns them. Chile's lawyer, Eduardo Carlezzo, made a press conference Tuesday to present new investigations. Among them is two: the baptism certificate and the Bureau Castillo's health registration report.
And June 1, 2022, the birth certificate, reflects that the player was baptized on December 25, 1996 in the Diocese of Tumaco (Nariño, Colombia). In addition, the document in question includes the baptism ceremony celebrated at Parroqua Nuestra Señora del Cámmann of Diocese in question.
The second document corresponds to the registration of the Castillo Bureau in Columbia Public Health.
This official document shows the following information: that the Castillo Bureau is inside “the database of members of the social security system in health” within the Nariño department in Tumaco municipality.
According to Chile's lawyer, the football player who played with Ecuador's national “enjoys the benefits and guarantees of being a Colombian citizen”.
For its part, the Ecuadoran Federation has already given a reply to FIFA before the final decision, which will be June 10th, is known. Two days later the FIFA decision will be known with everything Chile and Ecuador have given.
